all the monkeys

We have to talk about “dominion” some….or we’d forget where we stop and the monkeys begin.

This reminds me of giving Sparrow a bath….except that she’s too big for a sink bath now.

She gets her baths in the bathtub.

And….Nate is like a small ape…so it reminds me of him, too.

(Jenny just asked if we were going to get this monkey from the monkey pound. I don’t think so….)

Monkeys are always good for a laugh.

So are children.

Thank goodness for both.

Post Script….half an hour later: Jenny said that some people might be offended….since I made it seem that there was a possibility that I felt that we’d evolved from apes….just because I said that this little monkey reminded me of my children. I think that it’s really more a matter of “de-evolution” (which might be equally as offensive to some sensitive souls)….I think that it’s the outcome of certain behaviors….moving my children closer to the animal….closer to the ape….closer to a really cute little monkey. I don’t think that I came from a monkey. I think that I most certainly act like a monkey at times. I think that’s not such a bad thing.

Who am I writing this for, anyway?

I can’t worry about offending people with my monkey talk.

I have enough on my plate to worry about.
