out in the woods

Sparrow has no interest in her preschool.

She doesn’t want to go back next year.

That’s how it stood yesterday, anyway.

Two of her little buddies wouldn’t play “princess” with her.

She’s a “2-dayer”….they go 5 days a week.

That breaks someone’s heart when a friend doesn’t act like a friend.

Sadly, it’s probably a “welcome to life” situation.

That won’t be the first time that a little Judas comes to kiss you in the garden.

But….you take the good with the very occasional bad.

Most people love….and do it consistently.

Sparrow loves people.

She’ll be OK.

Maybe, though, it’s time to check out something a little different?

Maybe we should enroll her in a Forest Kindergarten?

This is a school in Denmark.

One of the parents says, in response to a question about why he thinks that the Danes could do something like this, that he really doesn’t understand it….but that maybe it’s because the Danes are relaxed about a lot of things.

You go, Danes! Stay relaxed! That sounds good to me!

We have a property to develop….barns….animals…fencing…well…refurbish the house.

That’s scary….and feels like a fool’s quest most of the time….but it could be good if we can pull it off.

It would be a good place for a child.

Nature is a good place for a child.

Being outside is good for everyone.

A life can be as big as you’ll let it be.

Here’s a similar school in the Tennessee Valley…..

Who knew that a bunch of Yanks could do something like this, too?
